The Barton County Historical Society’s Collections Specialist Linda McCaffery will present on Bleeding Kansas in the Historical Society's Ray Schulz Memorial Library on Sunday, Sept. 17 at 1 p.m. Linda will be going over the people and events during this tumultuous time in Kansas history leading up to the Civil War.
Admission is free for members of the society and $5 for individuals over 16 wishing to attend the program. The program will begin at 1 p.m., light refreshments are provided and the bottled water for attendees is provided by Wheatland Electric.
The Barton County Historical Society is open 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday all year and has summer hours in April, from 1-4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.
