A pair of early strikes from Sara Aguirre set the tone Tuesday morning as the Barton Community College women's soccer team carried momentum through both halves to secure a 4-1 victory at Western Nebraska Community College in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

The win pushes Barton to 6-4-0 on the year, while Western Nebraska falls to 3-9-0. Barton now faces a quick turnaround back into conference play, traveling Wednesday for a 6:00 p.m. kickoff at nationally receiving votes Hutchinson Community College.

Aguirre wasted little time opening the scoring, finishing off a setup from Saki Takaki in the 13th minute. Following Western Nebraska's equalizer just 10 minutes ensuing, Aguirre restored the lead in the 36th minute again linking up with Takaki for her team leading ninth goal and eventual game-winner, sending Barton into halftime ahead 2-1.

The advantage grew less than three minutes following the break when Maelle Harnisch broke through for her second lamp lighter of the season to make it 3-1.

Isela Barron-Tinajero sealed the result with 1:03 remaining cleaning up a chance created by Gwladys Dumont's collegiate-first assist for her second tally in as many matches.

Leonie Kerle earned the victory in net rejecting two of her three shots faced on frame.
