Keelon Anderson and Grant Irwin, who were the champion and runner-up in the Holy Family School (Great Bend) spelling bee held on Wednesday, Jan. 31. Both of these young men will represent Holy Family in the Barton County Spelling Bee on Feb. 10.
It took nine rounds for Keelon to be declared the champion after he correctly spelled "spacious" and then "intimidate" to win. Both Keelon and Grant are sixth graders, while third place went to 4th grader Macy Hoffman.
