April is being celebrated as National Community College Month. For many students, choosing to attend Barton Community College in Great Bend has been their best decision ever – whether that is because they found the right path, saved money or were part of a supportive community.
Barton’s Chief Communications Officer Maggie Harris said all month long the college will share stories from Barton students about why choosing Barton was the right choice for them.
"We try to point each year, celebrate, do some fun things and get the word out there about community colleges and how great we are," said Harris. "This year the theme is 'best decision ever.'
The college’s marketing and communications department released a social media campaign displaying snippets from students on their “best decision ever.” A Barton spirit day will be planned for the end of the month.
