PRATT COUNTY—Three drivers avoided serious injury following an accident that just occurred just after 7:30a.m. Monday in Pratt County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Kia Sorento driven by Macaiden Sky Dwyre, 17, Pratt, was westbound on U.S. 54 just west of River Road.
The Kia rear-ended a 2018 Dodge Journey driven by Ruth Hoeme McFarland, 54, Pratt, that has slowed for other traffic. The impact sent the Dodge into the rear bumper of a 2011 Chevy Silverado driven by Ashley Reed Spease, 16, Pratt.
Occupants of all three vehicles were checked by Pratt Co EMS and refused transport. Dwyre's parents transported her in a private vehicle to Pratt Regional Medical Center. All three were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
