The Fort Larned National Historic Site invites you to experience a day of living history during its annual Mess and Muster event at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 26th. Mess and Muster is hosted by the Fort’s volunteers known as the Old Guard. This year’s theme is "Defending the Frontier,” and will feature re-enactments, drills, demonstrations, and special talks about what life was like during the days of the cavalry, infantry and Plains Indians. The event is free and open to the public, however reservations are required for the evening meal. To find out more, call the Fort at 620-285-6911.
