Richard 'Dick' Reichuber, age 76

Richard Lee “Dick” Reichuber, 76, passed away on May 3, 2023, at Clara Barton Hospital, Hoisington, Kan. He was born on September 21, 1946, Great Bend, Kan., to Edwin and Margaret (Birzer) Reichuber. On July 20, 1968, he married Mary Jane Luebbers at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Claflin, Kan. She survives.

A lifetime resident of Barton County, Dick was an acoustical ceiling installer and co-owner of B&R Acoustical Inc. DBA Sound Control Company. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Parish, Odin Knights of Columbus, and a former member of the Sons of the American Legion. Dick enjoyed hunting, was a hard worker, very giving of his time, and above all, took great care of his family.

Survivors include his wife of the home; a son, Jason Reichuber of Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Sara Reichuber of Hoisington, Kan.; son of the heart, Scott Christians of Hoisington, Kan.; three brothers, Edwin (Aileen) Reichuber of Hutchinson, Kan., Kenneth Reichuber of Burrton, Kan., and Gary (Janie) Reichuber of Wichita, Kan; sister-in-law, Margaret Milsap of Great Bend, Kan.; and numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; and beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Vigil with Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, May 8, 2023, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, celebrated by Father Anselm Eke, MSP. Interment will follow at St. John the Evangelist Church Cemetery.
