The Kanopolis Drive In will officially kick off its 2026 season with a pair of movies on April 3 and 4. However, movie fans can get in on the actual a little earlier with a pair of soft openings to close out March.
The Drive In will debut its new 4K laser projector this Friday and Saturday, March 20 and 21, with presentations of "Scream 7." Movie nights at the Drive In typically feature two films, but the soft openings will feature just one film. On March 27 and 28, the Drive In fill feature Disney Pixar's animated movie "Hoppers" just in time for Easter.
Tickets may be purchased online or at the gate. The box office opens at 5:30 p.m. with movies beginning at dark. On-site admission is $9 per person ages 13 and older, $6 for ages 5-12, and those under four get in for free. The Drive In offers a full concession stand, so outside food and beverages are prohibited, though a $10 one-time pass can be purchased to bring in food and beverages of your choice. Outside alcoholic drinks are prohibited.
The official opening on April 3 and 4 will feature “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” with a title to be released at a later date. The Drive In will operate each Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening throughout the summer.
