Year 10 of the Business Showcase put on by the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce projects to be the biggest showcase yet. The teacher appreciation event gives businesses an opportunity to showcase their products and services while expressing appreciation for teachers as they kick off the school year.

Great Bend Chamber Member Success Manager Julie Mazouch said the day is good for businesses and teachers.

"I hear feedback from a lot of the teachers that they really appreciate the things they received from the business showcase," said Mazouch. "Of course, connections are being made. That's what the Chamber is all about, is making connections to our business community."

In addition to USD 428, the Chamber is inviting staff from every school in Barton County, local and private, plus Barton Community College.

"That's huge in the foot traffic that the businesses are getting," said Mazouch. "You're going to get more foot traffic. All of our Barton County teachers get to feel appreciated and get in on the action."

The 10th Annual Business Showcase is scheduled for Aug. 8 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Panther Activity Center at Great Bend High School. More information can be found by clicking HERE.
