Any business looking to learn how to be better prepared against cyber attacks is invited to attend a business luncheon on Cybersecurity 101 with Barton Community College instructor, Cristi Gale. This business luncheon will take place Friday, Oct. 21 at 12 p.m. at the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce, 1125 Williams St. Great Bend.
Technology is critical to small business growth according to a new report released by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in late August. Today, 93% of small businesses use at least one technology solution, with most owners using an average of three. These technology platforms have become essential to how these businesses operate – without access, nearly three in four businesses will struggle to survive.
What is cybersecurity? What threats does it pose to businesses and individuals? What can you do to protect yourself and your business? Cristi Gale, Instructor/Coordinator Information Technology with Barton Community College will lead this and answer questions to help business owners.
This “Bring Your Own Lunch” event is free to Chamber Members and $15 for Non-Members. The chamber will provide drinks and desserts for all. Register now to hold your spot at greatbend.org or call (620) 792-2401.
