The Golden Belt Humane Society will sponsor its first Adopt-A-Pet Fund Raiser of the new year from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., Saturday January 4th at Bomgaars on West 10th in Great Bend. Volunteers will be serving homemade chicken noodle soup, vegetable beef and beef and noodle soup, crackers, cinnamon rolls and a bottle of water in exchange for a $10 donation. You can also purchase soup by the quart and cinnamon rolls by the dozen, pre-orders only. Proceeds from the fund raiser will go to the care of shelter animals.
