The number of applications to become the next Great Bend City
Administrator keep coming in as the city is looking to start the interview
process soon. In early February, Interim City Administrator Logan Burns said
there were 16 applications. At last week’s city council meeting, Burns said
there are now 25 individuals interested in the position.
"We're looking at getting those narrowed down," said Burns. "The city council received some score sheets to turn in by March 6. We'll start scheduling some video interviews at that point."
Strategic Government Resources (SGR) was hired for $18,500 to handle the search
for the next administrator. The search closed Feb. 17 for a
position that has a salary range of $114,000 to $171,000.
Great Bend is looking for the next administrator after Kendal Francis resigned
in early January to accept a position in Hutchinson.
