The Great Bend Recreation Commission will be hosting a free Stop ‘N Learn Session titled “Measure, Pour, Let’s Explore” on Wednesday, Dec. 8, from 12:00 – 1:00 pm at the Great Bend Rec Activity Center (2715 18th Street).
Berny Unruh, Family & Community Wellness Agent, Cottonwood Extension District, will be the speaker for this program. Preschool age children love to “help” and can follow simple instructions. Their coordination is becoming more refined, and they can use their hand muscles for mixing, pouring and even measuring. Berny will share a variety of recipes – some that are edible and some that are just fun to play with! These activities will help preschoolers practice their skills at home, at grandma’s house or at daycare.
The presentation will also be available on the Great Bend Rec Facebook page as a live event.
A complete list of programs and class details can be found at the GBRC website at www.greatbendrec.com. Please contact the Recreation Commission office at 793-3755, ext 110, or stop by the office located at 1214 Stone Street for more information or with any questions you may have.
