Back by popular demand, the Great Bend Recreation Commission and the Cottonwood Extension District are teaming up to educate anyone on the use of Zoom video conferencing.
Although Zoom launched in 2013, its popularity blew up during the COVID-19 pandemic to allow people to connect via virtual classrooms.
A session was held in March and Megan
Hammeke with the Great Bend Rec says a request was made to hold another
learning session June 25.
"We'll do it once in the morning and once in the afternoon," said Hammeke. "The morning class will deal with using Zoom on tablets and the afternoon class will deal with computers."
The 10 a.m. session will focus on using Zoom on your phone or iPad and the 1
p.m. session will key on computer and laptop users. Each session will be
approximately one hour and will cover the basics of Zoom and the features it
offers. Donna Krug, Cottonwood Extension educator along with Hammeke, will lead
the sessions.
There is no charge for the class but anyone interested should send an email
to Krug at [email protected] and ask for the
Zoom link prior to June 25. For more information, contact Krug at
620-793-1910.
