The fastest late model field in Rush County Speedway history highlighted Friday night’s Cattleman’s Classic presented by Double R Weed Control, as the REVIVAL Super Dirt Series invaded The Bullring for a strong night of racing under the lights.
Eli Ross of Muskogee, Okla., charged from the outside front row to win the 25-lap Dirt Late Model feature. Josh Leonard of Gibbon, Neb., finished second, with Chris Bragg of Springtown, Texas, rounding out the podium in third. Dylan Schmer and Brandon Conkwright completed the top five.
Sixteen late models were on hand for the special event. Ross set the tone early with the track record qualifying time and advanced through the dash to earn a strong starting spot.
In the Ben Folk Trucking IMCA Northern Sport Mods, Cody Williams of Minneapolis, Kan., led every lap of the 15-lap feature to secure the win continuing his hot streak at the bullring.
Dylan Cherry finished second, followed by Blaine Walt, Justin Lampe, and Josiah Lopez.
Trent Matson of McCook, Neb., dominated the Skillet & Sons IMCA Hobby Stocks, taking the 12-lap feature win from the pole. Nicholas Sherfick finished second, with Billy Phelps, Reagan Sellard, and Casen Zorn rounding out the top five.
The Cattleman’s Classic also featured a backpack giveaway for kids sponsored by Casey’s.

While the Cattleman’s Classic may have looked like a potential season finale on the calendar, this may not be the last call for The Bullring this season. Stay tuned to Rush County Speedway’s Facebook page and rushcountyspeedway.com for any additional announcements.
Rush County Speedway thanks all drivers, teams, fans, and sponsors — especially Double R Weed Control — for making the Cattleman’s Classic a success.
