Following another clean sheet performance, No 7 Barton Community College men's soccer goalkeeper Pedro Lisboa has swept the Week 2 KJCCC and NJCAA Division I Goalkeeper of the Week honors.
The recognition marks Lisboa's second straight KJCCC weekly honor and third of his career, while the national distinction is his first of the season and second of his career.
Lisboa earned the pair of accolades behind a five-save performance in the Cougars' 1-nil victory over Western Nebraska Community College. The sophomore played all 90 minutes between the pipes, turning away each of the five attempts placed on frame to secure his second clean sheet over through the opening three matches.
With Barton clinging to the one-goal advantage, Lisboa came up with a pair of crucial stops down the stretch, denying Western Nebraska in the 77th minute before making his final save in the 89th to help seal the victory.
After getting the day off in Barton's 11-0 route of Lamar Community College, Lisboa and the Cougars will hit the road for the first time this season, facing Lewis & Clark Community College Sunday at 3:00 p.m. before concluding the two-day swing Monday against Jefferson College at 10:30 a.m.
