After missing the last two years because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Barton County tax sale is scheduled for 2022. In an effort to sell property for unredeemed taxes, the sale will be held Oct. 11 at the Great Bend Events Center beginning at 10 a.m.
Barton County Treasurer Jim Jordan told
Barton County Commissioners Wednesday there are currently 181 parcels on the sale.
"I suspect we'll be down to 90-100 at the tax sale," said Jordan. "We'll set up a bunch of payment plans."
Those bidding on a property understand they are buying the property in its
present condition, as is.
The final listing of properties will be available prior to the sale.
