Santa is still on vacation but the elves are putting in the work this summer. On Thursday, July 25, Christmas in July returns to the airwaves on Hits 106.9. The day will feature plenty of Christmas music and holiday-themed content, and Becca Tudor, the station's director of programming, said the elves are bringing some chances to win.
"We're giving away $1,000 - $100 at a time," she said. "From 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., you're going to have the opportunity to win $100 cash each hour. We give you a code word, you head over to our website hits1069.com, plug in that codeword, and you have that opportunity to win $100 with Christmas in July."
Last year's Christmas in July featured two days of Christmas music on Hits 106.9. This year, tune into Hits 106.9 from midnight to midnight on July 25 only to hear your favorite Christmas tunes. The elves are not only bringing opportunities to win with the codeword contest, but also some important information from Santa himself.
"I think they're going to give some updates on who's on the naughty list as of July 25, six months before Christmas," Tudor said. "Maybe you have some time to change that - get your room cleaned a little better, listen to your mom a little better."
Unlike some codeword games that are market-wide, the Christmas in July $1,000 giveaway is only on Hits 106.9. Tune in Thursday, July 25 for your chance to win.
