First Congregational United Church of Christ
3400 21st St.
In August of 1872, a dedicated group of early Kansas settlers resolved to establish a new church in the newly formed town called Great Bend. That church became the First Congregational United Church of Christ. On Sunday, August 7, they will celebrate our 150th year with a special worship service at 11 am and an Anniversary service at 2 pm followed by a reception in the Fellowship Hall. They anticipate that former ministers, members, and friends of the church will attend. The pandemic created a need to have services on Zoom and we have continued to fill that need. Contact Pastor Mike Munz to receive the code for the Zoom Meeting. They hope that those who have considered FCUCC their church home, will gather with them to share their stories.
