BARTON COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just before 12:30p.m. Friday in Barton County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1997 Buick LeSabre driven by Janice Kay Miska, 83, Hoisington, was southbound on U.S. 281 at the Kansas 4 Junction four miles west of Hoisington
The driver was stopped at the stop sign, failed to yield and pulled out in front of a westbound 2022 Mazda CX 30 driven by Roxanna Marcela Anaya, 36, Hoisington.
The vehicles collided in the intersection. EMS transported Miska and Anaya to the Clara Barton Hospital. They were both properly restrained, according to the KHP.
