The Barton Community College wrestling team hosted a five team dual event on Saturday with the Cougars winning two of their three matches on the day.
In Barton's first match of the morning, the Cougars defeated 18th ranked Otero Junior College 39-17 before dispatching Northeastern Junior College 36-16. Barton wrapped up the action taking on 4th ranked
Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in dropping a 30-16 decision.
Barton moves to 8-7 in dual competition, outscoring opponents 404-290 in the fifteen matchups.
The Cougars will again host the next scheduled event, a mock regional championship to be held Saturday at the Hoisington Activity Center. Action begins at 9:00 a.m. with fans welcome at $5 per person, mandatory mask wearing, and social distancing protocols. The matches can also be viewed online for free at www.BartonSports.com.
