The 17th annual Spaghetti Feed hosted by the Great Bend Fire
Department will take place Thursday, Nov. 3 at the
Columbus Club, 723 Main Street. Not only will the charity drive include a meal,
there will also be several big-ticket items given away through a raffle.
Firefighter Garrett Tindall said the event is the department’s fundraiser that
allows them to give back to the community even more.
"Throughout the year, we have meetings about once a month to discuss ways to give back," said Tindall. "If someone brings up a charity, and we have funds available, we'll donate to that cause. We donate to Kans for Kids. We do scholarships for high school and college students that are going into EMT or first responder fields."
Admission is $7 and children age five and under can eat free. The spaghetti
feed will go from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
