Two weeks ago, the Great Bend City Council changed its meeting time from 6:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at City Hall. Monday night, the council will vote on another temporary change. The second meeting of February is scheduled for Feb. 16, which happens to be President’s Day. If approved, the meeting would be moved to Tuesday, Feb. 17 at 5:30 p.m.
Also during the Feb. 2 meeting, the council will hear more updates from Great Bend Economic Director Jason Kuilan. The body will also vote on a proposed $178,000 elevated tower project at the Airport Industrial Complex, and vote on the purchase of a 2019 dump truck for $49,999.
Finally, the council will consider the sale of the lot just north of 2321 Prairie Rose Drive, one of three remaining vacant residential lots in the Amber Meadows Subdivision. Jerome Koett has expressed interest in purchasing the lot, and city staff has recommended the sale for $15,000.
