Great Bend man hospitalized after motorcycle accident

STAFFORD COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 7:30p.m. Saturday in Stafford County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2015 Harley Davidson driven by Layne N. E. Philbern, 39, Great Bend, was southbound on NW 80th Avenue ten miles southwest of Great Bend. The driver lost control while navigating a curve. The motorcycle traveled off the roadway to the west. The driver  then laid the motorcycle over and came to rest in the ditch west of the roadway.

EMS transported Philbern to the hospital in Great Bend.  He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, but was wearing eye protection, according to the KHP.
