Amber McMurray is a small business owner from Dighton that has had success with vendor shopping events in southwest Kansas. Several vendors set up small shops to showcase and sell their product to customers in new areas.
McMurray received permission from the Great Bend City Council to close the
parking lot behind Dry Lake Brewing on Oct. 21 for a “Brews
& Browse Event."
"I know on Saturdays, the brewery also has the food trucks there," said McMurray. "It'll be a fun event and beneficial for additional sales tax within the community."
McMurray said this will be the third similar event she has hosted, with
previous successful events in Garden City. Behind the brewery, the event does
not allow alcohol to be consumed in the parking lot. Along with homemade craft
vendors, a few food vendors will be on site at the corner of Williams Street
and Lakin Avenue.
