Hoisington will host its 128th annual Labor Day Celebration in just over a month. Organizers continue to make changes to grow and improve the event. New this year, Hoisington Chamber Director Karen Baldyga said Hoisington's Market Square will be held at the Activity Center on Saturday, Aug. 31 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"The Kidstop, which is up at the Activity Center, has always been a hotspot for a lot of parents and families who want to bring their kids up there," she said. "We tried to keep Main Street alive by having the Downtown Street Market. Now that we don't need Main Street shut down for the whole weekend, we decided to move it up to where the majority of people are going to be. It's exciting to have it up there. It's like one-stop shopping."

Vendors for the market can choose a booth inside or outside of the Activity Center. Ten-by-eight-foot spots inside the building are $40, and 10x10-foot spots outside the building are $30.

"We have a total of 40 spots, but currently we still have inside and outside locations available for anyone that would like to fill out the application," Baldyga said. "It is online at our website and you can also pay online."

Spots will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis with a total of 16 spots inside the Activity Center and 24 outside. CLICK HERE to complete an online vendor form.
