On Wednesday, May 17 at approximately 11:01 p.m., officers with the Great Bend Police Department conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of K-96 Highway and 24th Street for a traffic infraction.
During the traffic stop, K9 Menta was deployed to conduct a free air sniff, where she alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics. Officers located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
The driver of the vehicle, Corbin Cale, age 30, was placed under arrest for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Cale was transported to the Barton County Jail where he was booked in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
