Barton Community College Foundation Executive Director Lindsey Bogner said the college in Great Bend does so many great things that many people are unaware of. In an effort to showcase the impact the college has on the community, region, state and the country, the Foundation has produced their first edition of what will turn into an annual report.

The report will give a detailed look at the funds raised by the Foundation, how those monies are spent and the scholarships that are awarded.

"A person can look at this report and get a really good example of what the foundation does and what is the heart of our mission," said Bogner. "Hopefully, it encourages others to do the same. If someone looks at this and goes 'Oh wow, I didn't know they started a scholarship...maybe I could do that.' It really improves the education of our area."

The annual report will be sent digitally to all donors, scholarship contacts, staff and available online at bartonccfoundation.org.

Bogner said the report will give donors and potential donors a chance to identify where their money is going and how they can make an impact.

"Gifts are personal to every donor," said Bogner. "When someone is looking to make an impact they want to make it where it means the most to them and where their heart is. We do a very good job of that because we do so much. We can pinpoint what exactly is going to build that bridge between that donor and what impact they want to have."

The Foundation started in 1969 and creates funds for scholarships, special projects and assisting with renovating and updating the college’s facilities and technology.
