Richard Braun, 72, passed away July 13, 2023, at Hays Medical Center, Hays.
He was born Dec. 6, 1950, in Hays, the son of Andrew E. and Matilda Dreher Braun. A longtime area resident; he was an Oil Field Pumper.
He enjoyed farming with his father, and model cars. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post #1751 in Victoria and a member of the American Legion Post #173 in Hays.
Survivors include; a son, Justin Braun; two brothers, James L. (Sharon) Braun, New Albany, Ind., and Andrew M. (Belinda) Braun, Victoria; a sister, Patricia Ann Baalman, Grinnell; and two grandsons, Jace Braun and Jakob Braun.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial graveside service with military honors will be 11 a.m. Tuesday Aug. 1, 2023, at Larned Cemetery, Larned, with Pastor Jarred Smith presiding.
