Smoky Hills PBS premieres Season 8 of 'Cottonwood Connection'

Smoky Hills PBS is proud to announce the return of Cottonwood Connections for its 8th Season. This season of Cottonwood Connections takes a look at how Kansas and the Great Plains have been integral in shaping our country and our world.

Kicking off the season is a two-part series around Dwight D. Eisenhower. Focused on his connection to Kansas, his rise to general, and then what carried him to the highest office of the land. Throughout the season, viewers will also experience engaging stories on:

Starting A Pioneer Town

The Story Beneath Our Feet

Prohibition and the Bootleggers

Dirty 30s

High Plains Wildlife

Legendary Longhorns

Fenton Pratt and other Photographers

Kansas and the History of America Printable Schedule

“Cottonwood Connections continues to be a cornerstone of our educational mission,” said Audrey Parsons, Programming Director at Smoky Hills PBS. “Season 8 of Cottonwood Connections reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, educational programming that serves viewers of all ages.”

Tune In:
New episodes will air Sundays at 6 p.m., starting April 12.

A rebroadcast of each episode will air on Saturdays at 6 p.m., giving viewers an additional opportunity to tune in.
