The Barton Cougars split their double header with Coffeyville Saturday, winning game one in walkoff fashion 12-11 before dropping game two 5-4. The Red Ravens took 3 of 4 from the Cougars after sweeping the first to games of the series Thursday in Coffeyville.
In game one, Dryden House hit the first pitch in the bottom of the 9th over the center field wall to give Barton the 12-11 victory. It was his second home run of the season. The Cougars were unable to carry that momentum over to game two as the Red Ravens picked up the one run victory.
Barton is now 32-14 on the season heading into another non-conference matchup Tuesday at Hesston. Coffeyville is 25-18.
