Colby's fifth home run helped seal a 11-10 win in game one, which lasted nearly three hours. Barton's Jenna Henderson provided the walk-off home run in game two for a 10-9 win and split against the Trojans.
The Lady Cougars scored two runs in the first inning of game two, and that 2-0 score lasted until the floodgates opened in the middle innings. Colby piled up all nine of its runs between the third and sixth innings, and Barton plated six runs in the fourth to stay afloat. The Lady Cougars had not scored since that big fourth inning before Henderson's big 2-run blast in the bottom of the seventh.
Freshman Lani Dryden hit an inside-the-park home run to open game two. She added an RBI in the big fourth, and Halie Stoneking drove in two. Stoneking went 6 for 9 from the plate during the doubleheader, with two home runs, three more extra-base hits, and six RBIs. Stoneking's 14 home runs this year rank No. 6 on the season list at BCC, and she moves to No. 3 on the all-time list.
