Great Bend Police Department's Ethan "The School Cop" Thomas, whose dedication and selfless spirit make him an asset to our schools and beyond. He consistently exceeds his required duties to make a lasting difference.
Here's a glimpse into the extraordinary efforts that make Office Ethan Thomas stand out:
**Monthly School Lunches:**
Not just an educator, but a friend to the youth, Officer Thomas shares monthly meals with designated elementary schools, fostering a positive relationship with each child.
**GBMS Cafe:**
A familiar face at Great Bend Middle School, Officer Thomas not only enjoys meals with the students but actively helps monitor the cafeteria once a week, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
**Organizing Tournaments:**
Officer Thomas takes the initiative to organize various tournaments throughout the year, from video games to spike ball and basketball, keeping our kids engaged and away from potential trouble during wait times.
**Building Lasting Relationships:**
Officer Thomas prioritizes building relationships with the students, creating a comfort level that encourages them to reach out whenever needed. His presence at recess and PE classes further strengthens these connections.
