In a dominant display at the Class 1A Division I State Basketball Championship, the Little River High School girls' basketball team defeated Crest High School 76-27 on Wednesday at United Wireless Arena in Dodge City.
Little River entered the tournament as the top seed with an unblemished 21-0 record, while Crest held the eighth seed at 14-7. The Redskins showcased their season-long dominance, maintaining their perfect record and advancing to the semifinals.
Little River's impressive season includes a notable 74-26 victory over Olpe High School on February 21.
The Redskins will face the winner of the Montezuma-South Gray vs. Quinter matchup in the semifinal game scheduled for Friday, March 14, at 6:00 pm. As the tournament progresses, Little River aims to continue their pursuit of the state championship title.
