Perks, the Main Street coffee shop in Great Bend, has officially reopened under new management following a barista training program aimed at elevating the quality and consistency of its offerings.
Recognizing the importance of consistency in delivering a superior product, Perks enlisted the expertise of Brian Culver of Brew Grind Water, a coffee equipment service and barista training company based in Wichita. Brian brings years of experience and a passion for excellence to the table, making him the partner for Perks' journey towards coffee-making perfection.
"Perks’ goal was simple: to serve the best coffee in town, every single time," says Brian Culver. "The dedication and enthusiasm of the Perks team has been inspiring. Together, we've worked to refine their skills and techniques, ensuring a consistently outstanding coffee experience for every customer."
Under Brian's guidance, the Perks team has undergone training in the art of coffee making, focusing on consistency and the art of creating the perfect cup of coffee. The result? A team of baristas ready to delight customers with crafted beverages.
“The team we have at Perks is truly what makes the difference for our customers,” Adam Wintholz, team lead, said. “From the barista brewing your coffee to our kitchen staff making your panini, we are all dedicated to creating an excellent experience for every customer every time."
Perks reopened to the public under new management on Feb. 17. It's operated under the MyTown umbrella, a grass roots effort to help fill up empty buildings in downtown Great Bend.
"The MyTown board of directors is thrilled to support the reopening of Perks and commend the selection of its exceptional team. We have full confidence in their ability to deliver an outstanding experience for our community.” Sheryl Cheely with MyTown, said. “With their proven track record of excellence, Perks' dedicated baristas and employees are sure to make every visit a memorable one.”
As the doors swing open once again, Perks invites the community to experience the magic of coffee, brewed and served with a smile.
Perks, located at 1216 Main Street, is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. every weekday and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
