On Monday, April 17, 2023, the Great Bend City Council approved a general release that frees the city of any future claims in a lawsuit filed by residents of the Amber Meadows subdivision. The lawsuit, filed in 2020, claimed the city was partially responsible for the flooding issues in their houses.
