The Great Bend High School tennis team is set to get underway next Tuesday in McPherson. Head Coach Chris Manning will have a young squad with 13 of his 16 players being either freshmen or sophomores.

"Even though we are young, this is turning out to be the most ‘tennis’ players we have had in a long time," he said. "We are going to have growing pains but are looking forward to getting better each day."

Seniors on this year's team include Kaden Deines and Tyrese Patterson. Ryan hunter will be the lone junior on the squad. Sophomores are: Jacob Parks, Kia Brit, Kaden Pounds, Chason Rasmsey, Damian Mosqueda, Fabian Guerrero, Jorge Moreno, and Aaron Ramirez. Freshmen include Diego Soto, Aiden Tracy, Dominic Zimmerman, Leo Basher, and Brenton Jeska.
