From the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce...

The Great Bend Chamber of Commerce staff and Ambassador’s Club hosted a Ribbon Cutting at the Sunflower Center, 1125 Williams on April 22 to commemorate Kansas CPR Training joining the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce.

Dean Nuss, owner of Kansas CPR Training said he was “turning my part-time passion into a full-time business.” After 10 years in business and training approximately 1,000 people, Nuss is taking the business to the next level.

CPR training is important for all ages. Nuss said, “Taking one of my classes could save a friend or family member's life."

Last month, Nuss held a CPR Training class for kids who babysit. These classes are usually for kids between the ages of 8 -18. Kansas CPR Training classes can be one-on-one with an individual, for the general public, as well as any business in Kansas. Classes are held at client’s homes, at the client’s business, or The Front Door for public classes. Nuss also stated he will work within a company’s budget to provide affordable pricing for his classes.

Heart disease/cardiac arrest is the number one cause of death. It was responsible for over 23% of the deaths in the US in 2019. Less than 50% of businesses provide CPR/First Aid Training, but 90% percent of employees would enjoy taking the class. The cost for the training is approximately $2 a month for 2 years. This type of training could be utilized at home or work to save a friend or family member's life.
