Ghouls and goblins like to get away, too. On Saturday, Oct. 26, from 1-4 p.m., Blue Compass RV, just off the 281 Bypass at 1200 10th Street in Great Bend, will host its first-ever Candy at the Campground. Office Manager Samantha Courson said it's a Halloween-themed event everyone can enjoy.
"After all, it's just spooky season and we figured what better time than now to bring some more community involvement and also bring in some more foot traffic here to the store," she said.
All ages are encouraged to attend. Blue Compass RV staff will be dressing up for Halloween, and parents and children are encouraged to wear their favorite costumes as they trick-or-treat around the lot.
"We will have a couple of stops at a few of the campers for kids to do trick-or-treating, get some candy, and a few little treats, as well as parents have the opportunity to walk about the lot and check out things," said Courson.
Parents can also register for one of two door prizes, including an adventure tote or cups and koozies.
