   4. U.S. 56 & McKinley traffic signal upgrade
      In 2019, the city applied for a TEAP (transportation engineering assistance program) for the 10th & McKinley intersection. Currently, there are only left-turn lanes with no turn signals on McKinley, and it will be changed to protected turn signals. The council will be presented a  motion to approve a resolution and to enter into an agreement with KDOT for the US 56 & McKinley traffic signal upgrade.

   5. 2024 Transportation Alternative grant
      The city applied for the Transportation Alternatives program in March 1 for downtown sidewalk repair and accessibility improvements for Main Street, from 10th to 17th, for an estimate of $800,000. The city's eligibility is a 20% match if the program is awarded. The council will be presented a motion to approve a resolution for a 20% match for the project if awarded.

   6. Abatements

   7. Dangerous building - 2421 12th Street
      An inspection was conducted on the house located at 2421 12th as part of a search warrant conducted by the Barton County Sheriff's Office. The final date for the repair or razing the house will be set for June 8, 2024.

   8. Langrehr Field bathrooms
      Through the quality-of-life sales tax initiative, Langrehr Field bathrooms were set to be a project from the Capital Improvement Plan in 2025. With the recent decision of tabling the Brit Spaugh Park addition, the city is proposing to move this project up to this year. A motion will be presented to approve the purchase of the prefabricated restroom facility for $90,093.
