Sharon Tammen, age 74

Sharon L. Tammen, 74, died July 16, 2022, at Hilltop Lodge, in Beloit. 

She was born March 14, 1948, in  Great Bend, the daughter of LeRoy and Neita Mae (Hysell) Davidson. Sharon graduated from Claflin High School in 1966 and later attended business school. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper at Electrex Inc. in Hutchinson and later worked for Walmart in Newton and in Colorado. Sharon was a very creative individual. She loved sewing and was very crafty. Family was extremely important to Sharon, and she really loved celebrating the holidays.

On Sept. 27, 1969, she married Frank C. Tammen at the Peace Lutheran Church in Albert. He survives along with their two children; Kyle Tammen and Sonya Tammen of Highlands Ranch, Colo. Other survivors include; a brother Terry Davidson of Beloit, and her two beloved grandchildren, Wyatt and Ethan Harris.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, with family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Diana Webster presiding. Burial will follow in Claflin Cemetery.
