Two search warrants, 7 arrests in Great Bend & Hoisington

On Friday, Aug. 5, the Barton County Sheriff’s Office executed a pair of search warrants one in the City of Great Bend and one of the City of Hoisington resulting in the arrest of seven people.

At about 2:15 p.m., deputies and detectives executed a warrant at 218 Pine St. in Great Bend, five people were arrested at that location. Charles Rowe Sr., age 56; Charles Rowe Jr., age 35 and Savanna Bradshaw, age 27 all of Great Bend were arrested on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine. All are being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond.

At the same location deputies arrested Eduardo Torres, age 42 of Great Bend. Torres had a outstanding warrant for contempt of court and is being held in lieu of an $800 bond. A juvenile runaway was located in the residence and taken into custody. He was released to Juvenile Justice Authority.

At about 4 p.m., the same group of Deputies proceeded to Hoisington and executed a search warrant at 603 Hickory St. Danny Chapman, age 48 and Raymond Chapman, age 45 were arrested at the scene. They were transported the Barton County Jail without incident and booked on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. Both are being held in lieu of a $50,000 bond. Raymond Chapman also had an outstanding warrant from Rush County Kansas.

The investigation is ongoing. The Sheriff’s Office declines to say whether or not the warrants or investigations were related.
