Great Bend police looking for dogs that attacked postal carrier

On Friday, May 9, at approximately 11:02 a.m., the Great Bend Police Department, along with Great Bend EMS and the Golden Belt Humane Society were dispatched to the 1400 block of Lakin Avenue in reference to two dogs attacking a postal carrier.

Upon arrival in the area, officers began searching to locate the dogs. Officers and Animal Control were unable to locate the dogs at that time. The victim was transported to The University of Kansas Health System - Great Bend Campus for treatment of their injuries.
