The Great Bend High School Theatre Department invites the community to enjoy an evening of laughter and creativity at the annual “Night of One Acts,” presented on Friday, Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. in the GBHS Auditorium.
This year’s production is especially meaningful as it features senior theatre students stepping into the director’s role for the very first time. After weeks of preparation, they will present three comedies guaranteed to entertain audiences:
· Bad Auditions by Bad Actors by Ian McWethy
· Hear Them Hillbilly Wedding Belles by Robert C. Yoh
· Appropriate Audience Behavior by Ian McWethy
“Our seniors have poured their energy and creativity into these productions; the evening is a wonderful way to showcase their growth as both performers and leaders,” said Holly Johnson, GBHS Drama Teacher.
Tickets are just $7 at the door. Candy bouquets will also be available for purchase as a fundraising effort for the Advanced Theatre trip to Branson next spring.
The GBHS Theatre Department encourages the community to come out, support the seniors, and enjoy a night filled with comedy, talent, and Panther Pride.
