After another year of growth and continued commitment to exceptional patient care, the Clara Barton Hospital Foundation is proud to announce its 33rd Annual Benefit Event will be held June 12 and 13. This year’s theme, “Big Tops, Big Hearts: One Life-Saving Mission,” invites the community to come together in support of a shared goal, advancing healthcare close to home.
In 2025, Clara Barton’s laboratory completed 361,350 tests, up more than 9% from the year prior and over 12% since 2023, highlighting the increasing need for rapid, reliable results. Through this year’s benefit, proceeds will support BioFire diagnostic technology, which can identify multiple viruses and bacteria in about an hour, giving providers the answers they need to make faster, life-saving decisions.
The weekend festivities will kick off on Friday, June 12, with the four-man scramble golf tournament at Lake Barton Golf Course. Tee times will begin at 6:40 a.m. The cost to enter is $100 per player or $400 per team, which includes green fees, cart rental, lunch on the course, and player snacks. Participants will have the opportunity to compete for top placements across multiple flights, along with the memorable Hole-In-One Contest, offering golfers two chances to win $1,000, thanks to Ehler Chevrolet. A variety of on-course contests sponsored by Cardinal Pharmacy include longest drive, longest putt, closest to the hole, and straightest shot for both men’s, women’s, and senior divisions, and more!
On Saturday, June 13, the excitement continues with a catered dinner - sponsored by Nex-Tech, Nex-Tech Wireless, and Superior Essex - and a live auction at the Columbus Club Hall in Hoisington. Doors will open at 6 p.m., with dinner served at 6:30 p.m. Guests will enjoy a delicious meal prepared by Danton Riedl featuring chicken-fried steaks, mashed potatoes & gravy, green beans, a dinner roll, and sheet cake, followed by an evening of entertainment, community fellowship, and spirited bidding. Dinner tickets are $35 each and must be purchased by Wednesday, June 3. All attendees will also be entered in a door prize from Music Theatre Wichita for a $100 voucher good for the winner’s choice of show.
As in previous years, the auction will feature a hybrid format, including both an in-person live auction with exclusive items and experiences (the traveling longhorn horns, Pagosa Springs stay, the Claremont Inn & Winery stay, guided fishing trips, and more) and an online silent auction that attendees and community members alike will have the opportunity to bid on a wide variety of items, unique experiences, sports memorabilia, local certificates, and hand-crafted goods.
Community members are encouraged to mark their calendars and join in the fun while making a difference.
