Patricia Ann White, 75, passed away April 6, 2024, at University of Kansas Health Systems ER, Great Bend, Kan. She was born December 4, 1948, in Corpus Christi, Tex., to Abner “A.C.” Hollingsworth and Edith (Petersilie) Hollingsworth-Dewberry. On April 1, 1990, she married John White in Topeka, Kan. He passed on May 29, 2008.
A resident of Great Bend since 2010 coming from Topeka, Patricia worked as a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family.
Survivors include son, John Medina, Jr. and wife Nicci, of Sand Springs, Okla.; three daughters, Pam Prescott and husband Mike of Larned, Sandy Gros and husband Brady of La Crosse, and Kristal Beneke and husband Jarod of Great Bend; fifteen grandchildren, Haylee Prescott, Haydan Prescott and fiancée Jane, Tiffany Dreher and husband Dustin, Nicholas Rouse, Corey Gros, Tiffany Trapp and husband Bobby, Rachael Marston and husband Peter, Alex Salinas and husband Danny, Ashley Brown and husband Marvin, Joshua Medina, Jesse Medina, Makinzie Beneke, Wyatt White, Mackenzie White, and Alyanna Beneke; eleven great grandchildren, Kennedi Salinas, Peyton Sohm, Noah Rouse, Brooklyn Sohm, Brynlee Trapp, Isabelle Rouse, Isaiah Salinas, Bryson Trapp, Eli Rouse, Camden Dreher, and Emery Salinas; and sister, Linda Lemuz and husband Tony of Larned.
She was preceded in death by her husband; first husband, John Medina, Sr.; two grandsons, J.T. Medina and Alex Beneke; her parents; stepfather, Elbert “Red” Dewberry; sister, Delores Blair; and two stepbrothers, Elbert and David Dewberry.
Visitation will take place 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2024, with family receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and prayer service at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Jon Hembree presiding, all at Bryant Funeral Home. Rosary will take place at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2024, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., with Father Prakash Kole presiding, both at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Great Bend Cemetery North. Memorials have been designated to the Patricia White Expense Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend, KS 67530.
