PAWNEE COUNTY —Two people were injured in an accident just before 4:30pm. Thursday in Pawnee County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2003 GMC Sonoma driven by John R Van Cleave, 87, Larned, was northbound on 130th road two and one half miles west of Larned. The driver came to stop at the stop sign at Kansas 156. As the GMC Somona was leaving the stop, an eastbound 2019 Chevy Blazer driven by Trisha Deanne Hilliard, 56, Great Bend, collided with the pickup. After impact the SUV traveled into the ditch.
EMS transported both drivers to the hospital in Larned. Van Cleave was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
