The Great Bend Bat Cats persistant offense, and another quality start from the pitching staff led the Cats to a 11-5 win over the Omaha Corn Belt Saturday night in the quarterfinals of the Summerball Showdown in Goddard.
Carson Pracht had 3-hits to lead a 13-hit attack, while Bat Cat starter Ty Riley pitched five solid innings to lead Great Bend to the victory.
The Bat Cats (33-12) advance to Sunday semi-finals where they will take on the Wellington Heat at 2 p.m. at Goddard’s Genisis Sports Complex.
The winner will face the winner of the other semi-final between the El Dorado Walnuts and the Dirtbag Baseball Club. That championship game will be played at 7 p.m. Sunday night.
