Great Bend Post Sports
The Great Bend High School bowling team was supposed to begin the 2025 season Saturday in Wichita. Winter weather postponed that event to Friday, so the Panthers instead opened the season Monday in Liberal with a pair of dominating performances. The reigning state-champion Lady Panthers swept the Redskins 13-0, and the boys nearly completed the sweep 12-1. Holcomb was also in action.
Zoey Mayberry led all girls with a 587 series, followed by Brooklynn Mayberry in third with a 404. Deagan Miller paced the boys overall with a 554 series, and Xander Orth finished third with a 516.
