Sharon June Larsen, age 84, was born January 17, 1939, in Larned, Kansas. Sharon passed peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bob Larsen, parents Elwood and Drusilla Cole, siblings Harley Cole, Phyllis Kelly, Gwendolyn Sharp, Frank Cole, Diane Armbruster, Bill Cole and her son Allen Peck, and great grandson Zachary Carroll.

Sharon was a longtime cosmetologist in the Larned community and owned Lar Shar Beauty Salon for more than 40 years. In her early years, she was a member of the Military Spouse and Family Organization where she provided aid and comfort to military families of deployed spouses. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and Sacred Heart Altar Society. Her passion was always family, faith, and community. Sharon married Bob Larsen on Jan 24, 1959, in Little Falls NJ.

Survivors include her children Vesta Hicks, Sonja Carson and Robert J. Larsen (Lori) of Larned, and Lisa Larsen (Denise) of Lawrence, KS. Her siblings Carolyn (Lonnie) Arnold of Great Bend and Darrell (Vicky) Cole of Gordonville, Tx. Fourteen grandchildren: Jessica Albert, Shannon Peck, Jeremy (Trista) Peck, Andrea (Packy) Kissick, Scott (Karen) Richardson, Marshall (Shannon) Newell, Tyler (Amanda) Newell, Jacole (Jarod) Kirchgassner, Alice (Brady) Phillips, Kristen Larsen, Chase Kruse, Joshua Larsen, John Larsen, and Cody Dunn. Eighteen great grandchildren: Nikki Albert, Devin Albert, Kaleb Carroll, Logan Horton, Riley Whisenhut, Colton Kissick, Allie Kissick, Kordell Richardson, Karley Richardson, Felicity Newell, Savinia Newell, Ella Kirchgassner, Abigail Kirchgassner, Caroline Newell, Blythe Newell, Mason Peck, Kayleigh Peck, Amerisha Phillips and two great great grandchildren: Joshua Cunningham, Freya Smith and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11 a.m. July 22, 2023, at the Sacred Heart Church, Larned KS followed by a Celebration of Sharon’s life at the Sacred Heart Parish Center.
